I guess this is a poll of sorts. This is a question I couldn't find a definitive answer to so I decided to start this thread instead.

I've owned close to two of the amps you have listed. The headroom MOHR/stepped attenuator, and I now own the Singlepower SDS. They both have very good bass but I think the SDS amp has a slight edge. The headroom amp was a hair lean compared to the SDS. The SDS also has a punchier sounding midbass. I can't say this for sure but I would think with the higher voltage of the MPX3 that it might have even a little more slam in the bass than the Supra does. Someone who no's both amps can tell you for sure.

Look into an Emmeline HR-2 as well with stock AD797 op-amps. More than *just* having great bass depth and presence, it is articulate and rhythmic as well and has dynamics to burn. Yum yum.....

Normally, i'm not a big fan of the emiline, however, given your headphones, i could see it working rather well. I found the emiline rather dark, which can be perfect for taming bright, sibbilant phones like yours. The RKV might also be a good match, i think it's worth trying out both combinations before you plunk down your hard earned cash

I think this all depends on what your definition of "good bass" is. The most technically correct bass that I have heard with the HD-600s came from the Gilmore V2-SE without a doubt. It is fast, detailed, deep, and crisp. To me it sounds like the bass blends with the music perfectly with spot on timbre, and tonality.

Of your choices I would have to choose "Other" or Gary Dahl's Espressivo. It has very linear output tubes and he measured the -3dB points of the output transformers or autoformers at 12Hz and 120kHz. That's super fat and super low bandwidth!
