Ok, atm i have some hf-1s, millet hybrid and a emu 0404 for my home rig
and my portable rig (ipod, turbodock, little dot micro, shure e5cs)
I was thinking of getting some hp3000 made, if they can be done, how are these supposed to be? Should i be going for some electrostats (omega 2's) , or keeping it simple and getting some rs-1s?
Thanks!
Justin

Well, since you already have "colored" covered with the HF-1 and Millet Hybrid, what about a combo more on the neutral side of things for a change? HD650 (or possibly DT880/2006 model) with a good solid state amp maybe?

Never heard HP3000s (weren't those HP1000 drivers inside CD3000 earcups? - freakin' exotic), but since you're still looking for a sound that suits you, definitely try to audition some more cans out of decent sources with some CDs that you know (multiple genres). IIRC there was a thread about hi-fi stores worth visiting (WRT cans) in London a while back and apparently there are a few. Maybe you like one of the usual suspects, perhaps even some model you didn't even think of before.
