Those cardas cables don't look very expensive to me.

Aren't the blue ones used for the aftermarket sennheiser cables?

Now he only needs aftermarket sennheiser plugs, where did i see em again.........somebody placed a link somehwre where you can buy the aftermarket senneheiser plugs so you can make your own aftermarket cable......
can't find it...

And its like $70 bucks I'm told. Dont know about you guys but I wont be buying these for $70. So for now, the cheaper option is still to cut the connectors off a HD650 cable.

But they are made of ebony and silver!

The jaben ones are much easier to work with and to replace other cables to try out.
I still don't think it is a good idea of mixing 2 cables together!

The only way is to cut the plugs open and remove any cable residue.

If i was to make my own replacement cables, i would use the jaben plug. Better re-usability.

I am waiting on the new sennheiser, so i might not have to replace the cable at all but the whole phone.

Correct.

I had a commercial cardas cable and sounded very good on the hd600, and will sound also very good on the hd650. If you use better plugs, like wbt, you can increase the quality on the commercial products.

Well, it is ebony and hard wood, very hard to work with but will look great.
if the new dynamic sennheiser still uses the same plugs, you can also use it on the new one.

&5 dollars isn't that much more as most would pay for other tweaks or plugs. Wbt plugs are in that pricerange for 1 piece alone.

How do I use this cable for headphone connection. Do I split 2 pairs for hot/cold to each side? Meaning I only need one 6 or 7 foot length of this cable?
