After I read lots of review about RKV, K1000 is a MUST with RKV. Now, I am wondering where I can get 4-pin XLR to normal headphone cable, since I want to buy it from my RKV amp.

Thanks

You have a few choices. You can order one from Stephen Audio Arts, the maker of the Equinox cables - http://stefanaudioart.com/K1000Cable.html, contact your favorite cable maker (Cardas, Virtual Dynamics..etc.) and have them custom-terminate one for you, OR, the cheapest (and most fun) solution is to make one yourself! Check out the threads in the DIY forum for cable recipes and places to shop for parts (i.e, Parts Express or McMaster Carr).

Contact head-fi member Orpheus who makes an excellent K-1000 conversion cable at a reasonable price.

If you are handy with a soldering iron, you could go even cheaper.

Just buy the 1/4" plug and attach it to the stock cable extension. Even if you f* it up, or decide you want to connect it to a regular speaker amp later, you can just snip it off.
