Where to buy good-looking wood in Montreal?

Hey all!

I'm in the urge of building a headphone stand for my ATs, as the one I use now is a 1/2'' hook screwed on the side of my rack. However, due to the wings headband, the supporting part cannot be of more than about 1 inch wide. I was thinking of putting some PVC half-pipes from Reno-Depot or something, then assembling them on a wood base. Now, where can I get a 5''x8''x1'' solid, good-looking wood in Montreal? I don't want to order them from abroad for obvious reasons.

You should try "Langevin & Forest". They're in montreal. My father do woodworking as a hobby and every piece of wood he buys comes from there. I think they got(can have) every single type of wood you could think of.
