Ive got my casiing almost ready and the last thing is the pot. The pot goes between the input jack and the caps.
So you have got two wipers that both go to the input caps left and right. You got two grounds. And you've got two pins for the input coming from the jack. So you got all 6 pins ready.

Where does the ground of the line in jack go? Does it go directly to the amp's virtual ground bypassing the pot?

That should work. Be ready to exsperiment , if you get hum or noise, try different grounding points for the input. Sometimes were you connect the input ground can affect noise. I use a clip lead and move it around a bit to different ground points, if I get any noise, till I find the best place to tie it down. It usually works best to tie both channels grounds to the same point, also.
