I'm considering getting MS-2's or Grado sr225's. I listen to rap and I think I want an open can. Which do you think would be better? I've never seen where or who to buy MS-2's from.

You can buy them from Alessandro's Own Webpage. http://www.alessandro-products.com/headphones.html Or you could look on the buy/sell forum for someone selling them or post a WTB (Want to buy).

Nevermind, they are not an option. Too rich for my blood. I guess I'll get the sr225's. I have senn HD414 pads on the way and I'll do the modd for them.

What are some other mods that can be done to make the grados more comfy?

Besides sticking the headband from the HD580's on there, I'm unaware of any more. I know some guys bend the headband so they don't clamp on your head, rather they sort of sit up there. This isn't very practical though if you will be moving around

Cant you use the sennheiser yellow pads on them to make them a bit more comphy?

I guess you could use comfy pads on the MS-2, but that would somewhat defeat the purpose of spending the big bucks. Just make sure not to bend the bar too far out... or you lose useful head grip and decrease bass presence.

I don't have any problems with comfies personally, though, in terms of sound quality.
