A couple weeks ago one of my E4 nozzles went bad, the little green thingy (wax guard??) became dislodged. I'm now using an extra nozzle that came with the package.

I need some more backups...where do I get these?

On the E4, is the waxguard actually like a mesh screen of some sort about 1/8" down inside the nozzle to keep particulate out? It's hard to tell. I want to be Shure I can't get fuzzies on the internal part of the earphone when I'm transporting them in cotton pockets, etc.

has anyone found out how much these are?? they better not be insanely expensive, because I found that one of the filters just died within the first hour of use, while I was testing out different sleeves. I replaced it with another that came in the package, of course. Maybe I can get shure to send me an extra pair if those are covered under warranty or something--doesn't seem normal for stuff to die within the first hour of use.

That suck that they crapped out so soon.

I haven't found a price. I stopped at the pro sound shop where I bought my E4 and they didn't sell the nozzles...I did buy a 20 pack of foam tips for $17 (ouch)

How does a filter die? What's there to break on it?

I have absolutely no idea. All I know is that I suddenly noticed that my left driver abruptly became attentuated. For a moment I got scared that some DC offset or something fried the left channel, but then I changed the filter and it was fine again. I thoroughly examined the broken filter, but there was no visible difference with the working filter. No breaks, and it looked like neither was clogged with anything. I still have no idea exactly how it broke.
