All the sites seem to sell Shure stuff at the same price.

How do you pick out a better than average dealer? I want service after the sale. I want to call them and get a human...in the USA. I want real people not just a web site.

Thanks everyone.

Best places to look for good deals on Shures? Either get a used one here in the For sale forums or befriend someone that works at Best Buy so that you can get it at cost + 10%.

I just stumbled on this site today. I've been looking for a good board about this kind of stuff. I'm surprised that you think that store is overpriced. Everywhere else I looked has the same price on the SE530s.

I've had a lot of Shure products over the years and I'm familiar with the way that company works. The fact that Z Electra? is selling them through amazon.com well below everyone else on the planet means they are not an authorized Shure dealer and will eventually get busted.
Trust me, if Shure would allow retailers to advertise at that low of a price, everyone would be selling at that price...

X2

That proaudio store is selling the vanilla SE530 for $449. Unbelievable.

Shure SE530 | ProAudioSuperstore.com

Amazon.com on the other hand sells the SE530 + PTH unit for $303!

Amazon.com: Shure SE530PTH Sound Isolating Earphones with Push-To-Hear Control: Electronics

Yes, that is by Amazon themselves, not some third party merchant. The PTH unit itself has a RRP of $70, so I think that is a pretty good price.

I believed at least few months ago, I read some post confirmed even price of authorized dealers were lower than 300. Now you can buy from amazon.com directly with 303USD. I take a large saler like amazon would be an authorized dealer of shure products.

I would call the sponsors on the left nav...

I had good experiences with SoundEarphones and EarphoneSolution.

Both have humans available to answer questions and phones. In fact, I think they would rather conduct their business that way as it gives them a personal way to handle customers... which is exactly what you are looking for.

They are also more focused on the products they carry, instead of large electronics stores that happen to sell headphones.

Also note MAPs. The prices on sites may not be their lowest. So give them a call...

I love my 530s.
