Im thinking about buying my first desktop for my D7000's. Im currently using a D10. What do you think? Do I get one with DAC or run it through my D10. Whats my best option? What amp is my best bet?

Im willing to go more on the cash if there is a big enough difference.

I'd keep the D10 as a DAC and buy a nice SS amp, possibly the ECSS.

I had the Audio-gd C-2C with them (Phoenix on they way though) and was very impressed. More than enough power for the Denon's.

If you're really willing and able to go more, you should check out the Audio-gd Roc balanced headphone amp. It's $780 and is basically a junior, one-box Phoenix ($1200). It still has plenty of power for any Denon.

Agree with this. Lots of headroom to power the Denons.
