Yes I'm somewhat of a wine snob. I must drink wine from a proper glass (Riedel). Some of my favorites are La Crema charodany, Forest Glen merlot and some awesome, cheap Barefoot white wine.

p.s. anyone know MD2020?

MD2020 = Mad Dog 20/20...a.k.a. rot gut. Tasted like toilet water and gave you one of the worst hangovers...EVER! But it was cheap...good stuff!

I've got some Riedels... Nice stuff. I'm working my way through the local NY vineyards.. Liking Hazlitt's stuff, kinda cheap but I'm not fond of paying $40 for a bottle I'm gonna pissout in 30 minutes.

If I had to only choose one variety of grape it would be a Pinot Noir, and I would select the wine from a couple of vineyards in Oregon.

For white wine it would have to be a Johannisberg Riesling.

Red: Bordeaux St. Emilion (can be a bit sour sometimes), Chianti Classico (best I had was one from Panzano), a good Rioja (cheap and good). Always excellent are Amarone red wines but they are usually a bit more expensive.

White: Robert Weil Riesling trocken (this is great!), South African white wines are also great. And a cold Pinot Grigio in summer.
