That depends on a lot of factors. For example, Verizon actually offers different packages with different speeds. I think 14.95 a month gets you a maximum speed of 960 kpbs. Your speed also depends on how far away you are from the phone company hub.

I have DSL and my speeds were 2288 for downloads and 311 for uploads. From what I recall, this is above average for DSL.

just retested and got 2,368bps download 376bps upload.

i can live with that

6793/411 kbps by their meter.

Real world, I max out at about 900kB but have seen limited 1.1-1.2mB down, with about a constant 45-50kB up, without slowing down my general surfing.

I run DU meter, in order to keep track of avg's, and how much I download/upload.

run the test a few times to get an average speed. then post the fastest result.

imagine the rsponse i would get from the family when I annouced we were all moving and giving up our lives so I can have a faster internet connection.I can already hear the "well have a nice trip and don't forget to write" cracks
