Hi.
I had se215 for less than a year and there seems to be a problem with it.
It looks as if glue melted inside.
It used to be completely clear and now there is white substance inside.
I don't think the substance came from outside the iem.
I did not notice any change to the performance of se215.
I still have my warranty but sending them for repair would cost time and money.
I don't know if it would be worth it.

I'm having trouble attaching pictures.
I keep getting "there was problem submitting this to the server" message.

Please help.

I already did and this was the reply:
Send it back here along with proof of purchase let our technician verify .Please see www.shure.com/service for directions on having your product repaired and possible pricing if it is outside of warranty.

Well, you better wait for some of the better pros around here since I don't have a clue what's casuing this.

I'm speculating that it could be a simple accumulation of moisture inside the IEM body. Try putting your IEM in dehumidifying jar or a sealed container with silica gel/desiccant. See if that works.

i have the same thing on mines. clear ones as well and have them for over a year now.
i thought it could be for being dynamic drivers and not having vents but i really have no clue and as the performance hasnt change, i havent worry about it.

Hey there,

Did you figure out what it was in the end? I have the same issue with my SE215s. I think it happened to mine after working out with them (and getting sweaty)... Which is somewhat weird, cause they're recommended as workout IEMs sometimes. Thanks

Cheers
