I pretty much spent most of my extra cash on some headphones/tips after reading up here religiously but now I have the dilemma of having only integrated audio as an option on both my laptop and my desktop. I've been looking at the Audio Advantage Micro, but I'm a bit uneasy about what kind of difference I can get out of spending 30 bucks on a USB key sized sound card. Is there anything lesser known out there that I can get for around 100 dollars or less, that can do a better job for my systems than the AA Micro and can easily be swapped between systems for on the go use or is the Micro my best bet for what I'm looking for?

E-MU 0202 usb can be had for as low as $96 (Froogle is your friend).

Hmmm, a lot of people are saying this is a POS that should be used mainly for recording. I may have to keep looking. Anybody else know a good cheap USB soundcard? The EMU is a bit out of my price range if I can only get it through ebay at that price.

I see used and new in box Philips Aurilium selling for 25/35 euros. Don't know what they're going for in the US, but that's pretty seriously cheap. An Edirol UA-1ex should run $70, a Silverstone EB-01 well under $100. I have a TBAAM, though, and I have yet to hear a stock laptop card that can come close to it.

Hmmm, I may have to think twice about the TBAAM. I might get the Amigo if possible. I dunno. I can't believe there aren't more competitors out there for the Turtle Beach USB cards. It seems to be quite a profitable way to go considering how many people want a cheap way to get good sound out of their laptops.
