.....Buy a pair of HD580's for god's sake and get in the game!..... I'm with jpelg on this one, DarkWolf. Even a poor semi-starving artist such as myself just ordered the 580's from Newegg.com ($125-$20 rebate=$105!) So get with the program man!..... By the way, I enjoy reading your posts, but I would enjoy them MORE if I knew we had something in common. GlowWorm (a.k.a REAL headphone owner)

I spent years planning my system during a extended period of little employment, alternating with school. It was kind of fun, in a way. Even had some dream system's going in the Krell, Mark Levison's range. Then I got a job and settled on NAD, Paradigm, very happy with it!

About cable, recently purchased some from here http://www.signalcable.com/

for about $50.00. A very good deal! Like them more then my Kimber PBJ's. Well made, good service.

I got some Kimber PJB's for Christmas. They go between my Cambridge Audio 500SE and My Premium Little. Not bad. Better than the Straightwire Chorus and Symphony II's I have tried. Still like the Straightwire Encore II. Considerably better build than the Kimbers, and sound a bit better. Usually $100 for a meter pair, but you can get them for $86 in some places.

I haven't compared the two but I use the BL1s on my secondary sources like cable, tape, etc and I like them very much. Since I use AZ Silver reference on my main sources the fact that I haven't trashed them with that kind of competition says something!
