I've had a few pairs for several years. They are well made and not flimsy. And they sound surprisingly good for the money.

Hi:

Just my .02, but I recently replaced my Kimber PBJ with the Zu Cable OxiFuel. The OxiFuel was just a little more money, so I was not expecting a huge difference, boy was I wrong! Much better rythym & pacing. And I notice a defenite improvment in the midbass. Nice thing about Zu is that they offer a 60 day money back guarantee if it's not for you (they also offer 50% back if you trade up to a better cable at anytime). I received mine on a Friday, kept the box on my desk in case they needed to be returned, and promptly threw away the box on Monday!

Hey, those Zu cables look sweet. If they sound as agood as they look than I'll probably buy a pair when I do my headphone system. Thanks for the info. Anyone else used these?

darkwolf -

269 posts and no headphone system yet? that's got to be the equivalent of masturbating while watching other people have sex every night and then talking about it later.

uhhh. well, sort of. i guess. but hey, masturbation is cheap!

But seriously.. I'm saving up and I'm going to skip a bunch of low level pre-hi-fi-folly and get a good system. But for now, this is the game I play with my self to keep my wallet alive; I read tons of reviews and comments and I keep learning more and changing my mind and then doing it all over before I buy anything. That way, I have time to save up in between the upgradeits and find what should suite me the best. Right now I'm thinking HA-2 with 590s or A1000s plus cables and stuff. After that a good source and endless spending on media..

I need a second job...

But maybe I'll order the A1000s pretty soon if I can get some details out of people. Everyone who reviews them just syas they are good and gives one or two details, but not much. They are brain washing people, I want to try them, but I want to know more first! Arg. Oh well.

Hey kpfeifle, thanks again for the heads up, Zu looks like a good company, I need to read more reviews that aren't posted on their web site

but the costomer reviews are really positive as well..

I used to have a cable website that sold the $100 ones I use for $85. They are worth $100 easy. They have a high end sound.

Straightwire Encore II interconnects. I do have a nice system and these are worth every penny. You can pay more, but you will not really hear a difference unless your stereo is more expensive than your card (a new SUV).
