Norm simply retired. He sited several reasons to me. The one he was most adamant about, was the fact that he couldn't keep pace with the offerings from the Far East. I think one of the members of the Far East club have picked up a license to use the Go-Vibe name, and have issued products with such. That's a shame, his Go-Vibe 5-7's were picking up steam and becoming quite capable products in their own right. He is missed!!

Jaben Network took Norm business over. The latest model is GoVibe Petite with or without USB DAC options, great little portable, imo. In the past I had GoVibe6 and GoVibe7 and the Norm's basics been continued, more for less, but always keeping the quality in mind. The new GoVibe will be available pretty soon...

Here some pics of my:

Together, GoVibe7 & GoVibe Petite

Cute Petite

Jaben took over but the manufacturer that makes them is crossroads.

Same company who makes the X3/xb earphones.

I think it is around 60 USD if i am not wrong (much cheaper and smaller than the petite)

And no batteries inbuilt because it is power completely by usb power..Therefore the size is smaller than even the batteries

And the sound cannot be compared to the petite because for the go-vibe dac(the version i shown just now) there is no inbuilt headphone amp(just purely a dac component)

For my beyer dt770 250ohms version, it need to go up to 80% in order to achieve my normal volume.

It is just a "soundcard" very suitable for laptop etc and when i am lazy to power up my dac and amp when listening for a very short while

Great sound for its price and size
Very Very tiny, Have to see it to believe
Power by usb completely, no batteries involved
Solid built
Very Nice design
The price is awesome

No Headphone amp
Not enough juice and power for full sized headphone
No volume knob due to it not having amp part..Quite inconvient for me(the only way to adjust vol is through windows volume)

Nice and cheap solution for someone who do not want to spend USD1++ for an soundcard, cool.

Thank you very much for your replies. I love the warm powerful sound of My Go-Vibe V5. that amp/dac sounds good to me. probably going to be my next amp then! Thanks!
