My AKG K550s are dying a slow death. I have used them every single day for 4 years, often times for 12 or more hours in a single day. They were my first high quality headphone and I fell in love with them, but now it's time to move on, and I'm not too sure what new headphone to get.
I'm only 20 and I don't make a ton of money, so I can't buy a few pairs of expensive headphones that have their own specialties or anything like that. I need something that is good for nearly everything, which was my reasoning for asking for the K550s for birthday + early Christmas combo present back in 2012. Technology has probably advanced so much since then. Heck, the K550s go for $200 now. feels really weird.
Since my K550s were my first and only good quality headphone, I want something that will feel easy to transition to. By this, I mean I want something with a similar style and quality. I am not particularly educated on audio things, so I can't quite explain what I mean too accurately.
To cut things short, I'll make a little list of preferences and some facts that may be useful:
Since I had my K550's, I haven't been paying attention to headphones or audio in general for about 4 years, so I really have no idea what would be a good choice for someone like me. If anyone has any suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated. I'll answer any extra questions if needed, too. Thanks in advance.

- Greatly prefer over-ear, nearly a must
- Prefer closed back headphones
- A long cable would be needed if it's not detachable
- I listen to a few electronic genres, but am not a crazy bass head by any means
- I have no audio equipment like an amp or dac
- $300 - $400 expected price range
- I have a big head and slightly big ears, my K550s are a very good fit for me, and they're pretty large
- Would like to take them to work, so portability would be good
