Inspired by another forum. Can be a TV, DVD, or theater showing. In addition to the thread question: Did you like it? Why or why not?

For me, as of today, it was Gojira (1954 b&w, Eng sub, without the Raymond Burr cut ins). Link has many spoilers.

Very entertaining movie. The primative sfx only add to the enjoyment of the film IMO. Takeshi Shimura is great as the zoologist. Very good English dub even though they write Godzilla when you can hear the actors saying Gojira.

fractus, is that out on DVD in the US? I've never seen the uncut version--though I actually always loved the Raymond Burr version.

The last movie I saw was a special on the history channel about the Ku Klux Klan (can I say that name here without invoking rage?). I always thought they were just a bunch of miguided folks, but now that I know they were responsible both for supporting prohibition AND women's right to vote, I recknogize how truly evil they were.

Funny Face with Audrey Hepburn and Fred Astaire last night. Bob Hope's The Lemon Drop Kid will start in two hours.

I thought American Wedding was actually ****ing hilarious. I didn't expect much of it because I hated American Pie 2 (I thought the first one was very funny) - but AW was very funny. Didn't try to be anything other than what it was... a stupid teenage comedy. Quite clever, though, and the gay bar scene with Stifler is CLASSIC.

Why can't you talk about bootleg DVDs in the open forum?

Lat movie I saw was Pirates of the Caribbean in the theater. For the second time. Great movie, just really enjoyable and fun. Much better the second time around since the first theater I saw it in was *****.

Same reason talking about bootleg music.

Jude doesn't want any heat.

It was ok as comic book movies go.

I watched David Cronenberg's "Spider" with Ralph Fiennes on my bus trip into the city this afternoon.

Mysterious, gritty & atmospheric with wonderful performances from all involved.. Its going to take a few days to fully sort out what I just saw.
