I want to get a transformer coupled headphone amp. Kind of like a mini flea watt speaker amp. It must have transformer coupled out. I tried a few tube otl designs before and hated them.

Was wondering what option are out there and if there us anything reasonably cheap. Headphone I mainly want use are 300 and 600 ohm Sennheisers.

I'd prefer a circuit with low or no negative feedback,. Valve rectification would also be nice, but not essential. Not interested in hybrid tube/SS amps. If anyone has a spy thoughts would be much appreciated. I can't afford am EAR HP4!

Well these things do get pricey.

The Eddie Current Balancing Act might fit your requirements, but perhaps only $1000 less than the EAR.  Fully balanced, but can be operated single ended.  It uses bespoke cinemag output transformers and has tubed rectifier.
