Hey guys,
Well Guitar center is having some big sale this weekend which gives me enough motivation to go buy some stuff. One of the things ive been thinking about is gettin a electric-acoustic setup. The only thing is i have no idea what to even look for in an amp. I would never be doing any shows or anything just want it to sound good in my house. Also how much should i spend on it? I want something that sounds good but isn't overkill or something where i will always want something better. Im up for any suggestions!

Do you have an acoustic guitar yet? If you can afford it I highly recommend the AER line of amps. I plugged in my Martin 000-28 with a LR Baggs transducer and it sounded really natural through one of their amps.

You need to answer a few questions, like:

- How loud will you need the amp to be
- How big/heavy. Remember if you have to carry a huge amp it will not get used as much
- What kind of music will you play, would effects be used
- How much do you want to spend
- Are you looking for a tube sounding amp or a solid state sound
- What kind of guitar a flat top with a transducer, an ES175

One of my favorite all time amps is the Ampeg Reverb o Rocket of the 60's. Also the Fender Champ blackface or the Fender Twin also blackface. BTW the blackface means 60's versions not re-issues. Blonds and tweeds are so expensive I did not even bother to list.
