Ok, by the end of this year I want to get new speakers, amp, and whatever else I need. I wish could say money is no object, but it is an object. I can burn around 5000 euros for this project (I live in Holland). I am thinking something like this:
Arcam FMJ cd33 -> prehead -> musical fidelity a3.2 power amp -> paradigm reference 100v2 speakers.
Now, I could substitute the Meier audio's new amps (taking a leap of faith) for the MF amp, but with 40 watts per channel, I doubt they will have enough juice for the speakers. I am not sure what kind of a preamp is prehead, although it rules as a headphone amp. If I go for something a lot better for the amp, I don't think prehead would suffice, although one never knows.
Today I auditioned (for 10 minutes or so with music I don't care about) the paradigm s2 signature, and those are pretty sweet also, although a little lacking in bass. Musical fidelity integrated a3.2 was driving the thing.
So what do you guys think?
