What to get? Beyer or Senn

Hi all.

I need to get some decent phones to be used in the sofa, and to be able to save the family, they cannot be open this time

Ive been sneaking around the forums, but having trouble finding anyone who accually heard these ones.

They will be driven ehtier by the HP out on my Marantz CD5400, or from the HP out of my Sony amp. There might be a change in the not so far future, to an dedicated HP amp, and if needed, the phones could also be enjoyed on the road by my PA2V2.

Music is very diverse, from Diana Krall, to Alchemist, via Robert JOhnson to Led and Sabb.

So, im chasing someone who can make my choise a little easier.
I will of course run around town to see if i can find theses in stock, might be tough though.

You should go to Ljudmakarn in Stockholm and listen. They have both HD280pro and DT831. They even have Ultrasone HFI650.

the DT 250-80 is (imho) a great budget performer that will be ok without an amp. It does pretty well in the low bass regions, but it is no DT-770.
