I used to be active here but suffered a head injury in a bicycling accident several years ago that left me severely impaired in many areas and with no desire or ability to keep up with or be involved in the Head Fi world. I'm now getting my life back together and I find myself with a bevy of SinglePower amps, including (I think- I need to go through them all, they're still in storage):

Singlepower Extreme

Singlepower Harmony

Singlepower SDS-T (tube rectified SDS)

Singlepower Maestro

Also Eddie Current Zana Deux # 31 w/Stefan Arts Audio umbilical

Also a host of 6/12 v tubes, some of which were very pricey/desirable when I got them.

My recollection is that most of the SP amps don't work. None experienced traumatic failures like fire or the like, but as far as I can recall, they just stopped working one by one. The ZD is still working- I have used that recently.

I am in Philadelphia, My ideal scenario would be that some knowledgeable member here be interested in looking at and taking the whole lot for a fixed price TBD. Otherwise, I could use some help figuring out what I have, figuring out if it's able to be repaired and worth doing so, and selling items off.

I also have some phones but I need to track them down to list what I have. I know I had some top of the line cans that should still be in excellent condition, given that they've been unused. Almost all were recabled with super-premium cables when I purchased them.

I only intend to keep maybe one amp and one set of cans, the rest I'd like to dispose of as efficiently as possible. I'm not looking to make back what I spent on this gear, I know SP in particular has suffered severe loss in value since I was purchasing these, I just don't want to pay to store them anymore and the funds from my accident are running short and I need to recoup whatever I can.

If anyone has ideas of either how I should proceed or wishes to help, please reply or PM me. Thanks so much.

Ira Fingles

PS I'm willing and eager to pay fair compensation to anyone who can help me out with these things

I might start at local hifi shops that do repairs; I'd imagine they'd sell secondhand equipment as well. You might find out what repairs would cost (it might cost a few hundred bucks to have them analyze all five amps, but in the long run it may be worth it), how much they could offer you to buy them from you, or how much they think you could get from selling them yourself. If you decide to sell them yourself, they might also have ideas for the best places and ways to do that.

I'm afraid that's about as helpful as I can be.
Best of luck with this!
