As my Zen micro has broken for the second time im now getting a refund and now decided what to get next. Im really only wanting to spend £150 on one. Ipod mini 6gb come to mind. any other suggestions.

Some shops will sell you the iRiver H10 for only a tenner or so more. If you want to keep many of the features of the Creative (and actually improve on things like the voice recorder) that's an option. You gain a colour screen, seamless UMS storage, and a two-pronged drag & drop / databased music storage, but lose the playlisting flexibility, possibly some elements of sound quality if you listen hard enough and half decent software. The major downside is that when I had it the H10 had a whole host of really annoying firmware problems... which may or may not have been fixed by now.


The Mini 6Gb's a solid choice though.

What got broken in the micro?, if you move a lot, then microdrive players may not be suited for your needs... in that case i would recommend you take a look on flash players...
