I'm looking for a set of cans for when im on the go and I really like the er-4's but I'm not to big on their price. What I want to know is what other phones are out there that are similar to the ety's

in the design that they look and feel just like ear plugs. What other choices do I have ?

Thanks

Are the ETY 6's ear buds interchangable like the ety 4's or the ones from shure ? I'm mainly interested in foam and the ice cream cone shape (shown above).

Nope, the Etymotic ER-6 tips are not interchangeable with the ER-4 series. You might find that you prefer the ER-6 tips, since they're made of silicone, so they're a little bit more comfortable than the ER-4 tips (until the ER-4 tips are well broken in, then they're comfy too).

ER-4's become more comfortable after a week or two, at least for me. i hardly even notice them in my ears now.

the only canalphones cheaper are Ety ER6 and Shure E1, E2 but the E2 kinds sucks.

. A lot of people are happy with the E2's but say they are not as good as Ety 4's.
