Saw the answers given at the "What browser are you using" and found the outcome quite remarkable it made me think of this one.
Me myself, I use Apple at home. Where I work Apple as well and if I really have to, Wndows.
And why..because I hate computers and I love Mac. It just works without bs for me. I have had nothing but trouble with Windows in the past so when I got in touch with Apple for the first time I knew I had to swop OS.

All Windows (XP Pro). Windows gets a lot of hate. I don't find anything wrong with it.

I'm using Vista, I've used Windows for a while. My dad works with computers so I've been using computers for a long time and do know a pretty good bit about them, so Windows never gives me a problem. There just isn't enough out there for the alternative operating systems. It's pretty easy to find programs that do basically anything you want for Windows, this is not the case for Linux, I'm not sure about Apple's OS though. Still, Windows can be a very good OS if you know your way around it. I just had to get that out before we hear the inevitable Windows hate.

I think you are right about that and I think you have made a good point there. But I just don't want to spent time in knowing how to use a computer so I can use it without getting the bs, thus the hassle. It just has to work, period, for me.
With Apple I found that. It just works and you don't have to get into the howabouts of the computer in order to use it where it's meant for...For me to do my work.
Luckily every program I want to use (wich aren't many) is there for Apple.

I use Mac OS at home and school, but have to use Windows at work.

I much prefer Mac OS over Windows. Not that Windows is bad, but it's not really very good either. I don't like the interface and I don't like the way it works. Everything feels so clunky and difficult. It's very unfriendly.

windows XP and vista dual boot on my home computer... use XP mainly because i game and my vista partition is finnicky. vista on the laptop that i'm using now... it was also being a red-headed stepchild until i reinstalled it.

basically, vista's installs are hit or miss. but once you get a good one, it's a fine OS, i can see potential success.

i don't really have any other options for OSes, being a gamer and all

I do a lot of 3D work, so Windows for me (3D support for the Mac has always been spotty). Being in the arts though, I did have to use the Mac a lot before going into business for myself. Arguments I've seen for why I should switch from PC to Mac have always been wrong from my experience. My PCs have tended to be way more stable then the Macs I had to use at school and work. And then with 3D work....well I don't have any reason to switch OSes.

I've used Linux, windows and Mac OS. For my wants and requirements, the only OS that offers me what I need is XP Pro SP2. I'm sorry to say but it just does things that Mac OS and linux do not (games and high end audio for one).

I also take offense to the fact that Vista and XP are not two separate options, so I did not vote in the poll. Vista doesn't even compare to XP. If I need 64 bit I will get XP 64, thank you very much.

I've been running Win XP for years now, and it is a DOG. I've had nothing but crashes, slowdowns, error messages, etc. Not to the point where I can't use the software, but enough to annoy me. I have none of these problems with my Mac PowerBook. Knock on wood.

Using vista right now.
Can we add a "Windows/Linux" option? Cause I do dual boot (just not right now since I installed Vista) and I have a laptop that runs Debian all the time.
