Zeppelin in 1975.  Page was so wasted they stopped the show after 4 songs and we ended up getting refunds.
 
Rush 27 times.  Mostly in the 70's and 80's when they were trying to make a name for themselves.
 
Uriah Heep backing up KISS in 1976.
 
Thin Lizzy backing up Queen in 1976.  Terrific show by both bands.
 
Blue Oyster Cult in 1977.....THAT was heavy metal!
 
1975....while Aerosmith was already around a few years it was "Toys in the Attic" that put them on the map.  Saw Ted Nugent back them up and Ted pretty much stole the show.   That was when HIS breakthrough NUGENT record came out with "Stranglehold."
 
Todd Rundgren many times solo and with Utopia...just a great performer and multi-talented artist.
 
ZZ Top....just fun raunchy Texas rock and roll from the Gibbons brothers.
 
Chicago....great band, great performers.

Rush 27X's that is unbelievably great and a solid band at that.  The best I have to offer is Tom Petty 6X's since 1982, the most consistently tight band I ever saw.  I saw Thin Lizzy in 1977 they put Foreigner, REO Speedwagon, and The Steve Miller Band in the same venue to shame.

Yea....Garry Richwrath on lead guitar was a pleasant surprise with REO.  The guys a bit sloppy but he can play some wicked solos.  Thin Lizzy was awesome.....it was "Jailbreak" tour versus Queens "Night at the Opera" tour on the show I was at.  A couple great bands.  Bassist Phil Lynnott rest his soul. Looked like Jimmy Hendrix with a bass guitar in his hands.

It was a strange time for REO, people tend to remember the mushy ballads from the early 80's.  I really was more into "Riding the Storm Out." I recall Richwrath nearly left the band over the ballads.  It was a strange time for Rock just like the disco era, bands followed the trend of the times to sell records.  Journey who I saw a few years later also went the ballad highway.  At the time it to me like they sold their souls to the devil. One ballad for slow dancing was OK but two or more was just wrong. 
 
Loved Thin Lizzy. Phil Lynnott tore it up when I saw him. Foreigner was above average.  Lou Graham was impressive on lead vocals and Mick Jones could play guitar.  Steve Miller was pretty boring, but that was my impression at the time.

Do you keep track alphabetically?  I've always done it chronologically. Out of curiosity what tour did you catch The Kinks on?  You listed multiple groups I wish I could have caught live.

No, I just listed them from memory and used a spreadsheet to sort them. 
 
The Kinks was back in 81(I think)  at Earls Court in London, one day after seeing Bob Dylan in his "christian" phase !
 
The most fun group was The Undertones

I Saw The Kinks in '82. The Romantics were the opening act. A seriously fun concert. We danced in the aisles. No one sat down the entire show.  Great setlist as well as high drama between Ray and Dave Davies.  I thought it was part of the act, or maybe it wasn't, but Ray stopped the show midstream and claimed someone thru a bottle at him. He threatened to stop the show completely and it incited the crowd.  Brilliant move the passion built and the crowd really got into it.  Ray and Dave fought through out the show and I'm sure that part was genuine.
