I was lucky enough to land my first job working at an amphitheater when I was 16. I got to work behind the scenes at Warped Tour for my very first day. Granted, it was a housekeeping job, but I got paid to go back stage and meet and see the performers. That got me hooked to seeing live shows, mostly Indie bands. Some of the bands I saw were Senses Fail, Killswitch Engage, Saves The Day, Dragonforce (lol), and glassjaw. Back in the present time, It would be once in a blue moon when I would go see a live concert... The most recent band I saw live was Journey just because of the new lead singer.

I havent been to too many live shows.

In high school/college I saw Children of Bodom, Amon Amarth, Horse the Band, Trivium, All That Remains, Dragonforce, Opeth, katatonia. Just a bunch of metal bands.

Most recently, I saw Mindless Self Indulgence.

Oh man. Mindless Self Indulgence. Sure I haven't seen a ton of concerts, but that was by far the best I'd been to. The energy was through the roof - things were a bit improvised and fresh, the stage act was incredible, the overall atmosphere was completely outrageous, people were dressed interestingly, - things were loud, the mosh pits were the most violent and risky of any I'd been in. I actually got a real vicious black eye there, bled everywhere and couldn't open my right eye for days. Totally worth it, though. So much fun.

That was hilarious coming into the office the next day....

Last night I attended a world class concert with Chris Mihn Doky and the nomads. Truly a world class band and performance. Dave Weckl on drums, Dean Brown on guitar, George Whitty on keyboards - yeah!

Trans Siberian & Mannheim Steamroller are always excellent listens! :)

I'm sure I am missing a few as I've attended a lot of concerts when I was in high school and community college. Now that I am at a university, only performances I have been able to attend to are either classical or jazz shows. It sort of disappoints me, but in no way is it a con as I love both genres of music. A few artists I do wish to see perform live though is Metallica, Led Zeppelin, and Shakira, along a few others.

I rarely go to any live conserts but I have been to a few:
Toto (twice), U2, Iron Maiden, Justice. All bands I want to see never come to Scandinavia, so I'm keeping my hopes up until that day comes!

Just got in from seeing The Moody Blues at the Murah in Indy. Thought I was at a nursing home but all the gray/bald crowd still knows how to rock.
