What level of having Ety ears would you rate yourself at?

Semi-serious poll for Ety users. I'm at the Ears4Ety's category
...nyah nyah nyah nyah....
nyah nyah nyah nyah...
hey hey!
Good bye.

Oh crap...I forgot the "They make me want to throw-up...LITERALLY!" option...which I would put ummmm....somewhere down there, perhaps before or after the burning one.

I've only used them once at HE01, but the very first time I used them, they sounded and felt great. I guess I'm unusual that way -- many people report that they never get used to them. I do feel them in my ears, though, so I placed myself in the second group.

31337! w00t!

but really...i never had any problems putting the etys into my ears in the first place (with the foamies, at least...rubbers fit weird). sometimes i do wish i had some circumaural cans because it is annoying when your roommate always seems to need your attention right when you're comfortably settled in your moosic....but that's just one of my many bitches about him. the person.

so, if you're worried ety's aren't for you, give em a try. they're comfy, for real

Yes yes...common Ety annoyances Moo! Or how about living in a household where long-distance calls are done vocally?

The remedy is of course learning sign language. One useful one would be one where all fingers are extended and palm side laid flat towards the direction of the vocal participant in question. The other would be to have the palm towards you, with only one finger extended.

Fits pretty well for me... though what annoys me is that, I don't know if it fits better or not... This is on foamies, the white tips just destroy my ears.

I also get very very annoyed with the foam tips because they SHRINK!... whats with that, argh...

I'm in the good but not great camp. Getting a good fit isn't too difficult, but they get uncomfortable after a few hours.

Luckily, I'm in the Ears4Ety's group, where they fit just great for long times...

I'm in the "elite" group too!

Some days I can't stand the feeling of the ER-4S in my ears, but some days they feel incredibly comfy and they didn't even sound "thin", so I can only say I'm bad at putting these phones on/in.

I've been using my modded EX70s a lot too...managed to get them to sound much nicer than the original state at times. My fitting technique is still lousy, though.

I'm in the "they make me want to throw up" group. I don't use them any more, they're packed up in their box. But then, since I got my new speakers, I haven't put on ANY headphones in three weeks now.

I have to insert them all the way in. The black foamies seem useless to me. The yellow "big" foamies are just ok.

But when using the white silicon tips, I sometimes wonder if I will ever be able to afford something better sounding than them. They never cease to impress.

I'm also in the Ears4Ety's group. It took a few days for my ears to adjust, but the fit and seal with the rubber tips was immediate and good. Now I can leave them in for hours without a problem.

I can't use the foam tips at all, they actually hurt my ears for some reason (some strange allergy?). Luckily there are plenty of rubber tips, so the foam isn't needed.

They're the best sounding (amazing mid-range for me, compared with its size) and isolation!
White rubber tips could be too much pressure sometimes, but not for the foam tips. Should insert slowly to allow pressure balance.

Know what. I tried to use earplanes (bought from Osco) instead of white tips. It provides even better isolation with less pressure. The earplanes has tube in the middle just like the white tips. I just cut the excess tube off. Ety's just exactly fit in it. The only pitfall I found is that earwax can easily be seen coz earplanes are translucent blue, compared to white. By the way, It's look cool! also.
