So i just joined this forum, been browsing around for a couple days and it seems like people know a lot about earphones and everything here.

Well ive been wanting to buy some in ear earphones for quite a while now, the last pair ive owned were the shure e2cs and i was quite happy with them. Sadly i lost them and now im stuck with horrible ipod earphones.

I will be getting an ipod nano 5th generation soon and will be listening to r&b, rap, hip hop and pop (mostly r&b). I have a price range at about $150 CAD.

What would be the best earphones for my price range and for the type of genre of music i listen to? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

ps. I can also get a pair of shure 115 for about $75 cad but I've seen mixed reviews about them :/

ER6i's are great for around that price.

Not for bass-dependent genres like hip-hop and rap.

Maybe Denon C710 or Klipsch S4; not really my sorts of genres though.
