Hello folks. What is your top Headphone brands you would choose from when deciding what cans you buy? Of course it's folly to shop by brand only, but if the quality is good, why not?

To start this party, here are my top 15:

15. Sol Republic
14. Skullcandy
13. Bello digital
12. V-moda
11. Philips
10. JVC (will move up in the future)
9. Sony
8. Bowers and Wilkens(good sounding cans)
7. Bose(my first headphones)
6. Koss(surprise entry)
The top five brands
5.Akg (good dj headphones)
4.HiFi Man( expensive but has the sound to back it up)
3. Audio Technica(excellent sound)
2. Sennheiser (this was a hard decision)
1. Shure(my first love was the earbuds long ago and other just was as good or better)

All of these are based on my experiences with models and opinions. So what are your top 15 brands?

Do you agree(probably not)? What do you expect when you buy from these makers?

3. Audeze
4. AKG
5. Audio Technica
6. Sony
7. Bowers & Wilkins
8. Shure
9. Bose (Purely for the best noise canceling I've heard, other brands usually tend to have a weird noise emitting from them)
10. V-Moda
11....come on 15 is way to many, Grado I guess
12....seriously idk...Creative I guess
13.....how about...Phllips
14.......hmmm..JVC?
15........Panasonic I guess.

Hmm honestly I was never a big fan of Shure for headphones, but their mics are great.
Got the Shure SM7B liked it so much I went and got a Cloudlifter CL-2 for it.

Until this year, i never heard of BeyerDynamic. Heard that they have excellent headphones. Gotta check 'em out.

Beyerdynamic DT990s are the first headphones to really wow me.  I wish I still had them.

The Beyerdynamic DT- 990's Pro 250 ohm are really great headphones and an overall bargain at today's low price. Truly love my pair for rock music.

Breaking hearts man..don't burn your brand bridges haha.

I hear what your saying, but I've been happily running HD650 for close to 10 years. I've yet to find another Can that blows them away(for less than a grand).

Last week I had another listen to the Oppo PM-3's. It was a real treat, as this time I brought my own music and player. I found these Cans to be the best close backed I've ever heard.

So I now need to share my loyalty with two brands. I did have a pair of AKG K280's back in the 80's. I liked them very much. Once the HD650's arrived, I thought how could I have ever liked these 280's?

Used Audeze LCD2.2s, that was the one thing to pry my HD650s from my hands.
