Not sure who it's by, but I heard Christmas Shoes for the first time last year. About a young boy buying shoes for his mother on Christmas so she can look beautiful when she "meets Jesus" (She is dying from cancer, I believe)

Have you heard the Johnny Cash version of Hurt? Much more haunting than the NIN version, IMO.
