....in a speaker. Personally, I like speakers that are VERY accurate and very fast. To me, the high freq. range is more important than bass response.

Mids. I would compromise the top and bottom for the mids.

Bass is the ususal compromise in that only full sized floorstanders can deliver in full.

That would probably depend on what price range I was looking at. For the multi-thousand dollar speakers I try to stay away from models that do one, or two things right, and everything else half assed.

Mids
Bass
Treble

Mids are where most of the musical info resides on most recordings.

Bass because I like to feel and not just hear low frequency energy.

Treble isn't a big deal as my ears ring a bit anyway, so as long as what it has isn't harsh I can take it for long periods of time.

I'm a young ear. I don't have enough experience to really know what I want. But the most important thing is probably how it communicates the music. Does it move me?

But soundstaqe (wide? deep? accuracy in the depiction of individual instruments), Bass (quality? Does it go low or do I need a sub?) Transparency, Colourations, is it Coherent and for the most part HOW MUCH DOES IT COST???

Does this cable seem to be letting *less* info through than my previous cable? If not, is what it's letting through out of balance/proportion? Those are the first two questions I ask.
