As the subject says, what is the difference?

I know the e530 is the new model, but how do the two actually compare is what Im after?

Were the e500's better? Stores around me only seem to be selling the e530's now.

Has anyone compared to e500 to the e530 to see if there are any differences?

Thanks

True, no difference in the IEMs themselves, but I believe other than the difference in that E500 gets the PTH and the SE530 doesn't (it's optional), there's also the black foamies. Don't they come with the SE530, but not the E500?

thats correct. The only difference in both models is the name, the accessories that they come with (the type of sleeves) and the price. The E500 does not come with the black foamies while the E530s do. Other than that... both models are exactly the same (at least thats what I've read)

what about the cable length? i heard se530 is longer since it doesn't have PTH device whereas e500 has shorter cable to connect to the PTH.

AFAIK the 500/530 use the same cable; short cable from headphones and another extension cable you can plug into the headphone cable.
The PTH is removable so you can connect it between the two cables if you wish, but on both "models" they have the same cable length.

AFAIK the only difference is in the tips (black olive) on the renamed series, the option to buy with or without the PTH device, and an airline adapter.
