Hi,

I have been enjoying listening with K701. I have used about 320 hours. I really like violin and piano music with K701.

However, I think with cello (solo & chamber) classical music, the K701 needs a little more.

So my impression is that the tight bass of K701 might be against cello playing. What's you guys' opinions?

What would be the best can for listeing to classical cello music? The cello is my favorite instrument.

I loved cello on the HD600. It's the best can i've heard for tenor and bass range voices and instruments.

I prefer the K501 with alto/soprano range stuff like violins, clarinets, and flutes.

My ideal headphone would be the love child of the K501 and the HD580/600.

Thank you, guys.

I am wondering how HD 600 and 650 would be different with cello music.

650 has more bass. It might be perceived as having more weight and authority for cello; on the flip side, it might seem a little too warm and bloated in some setups.

HF1 came to mind first for me too. Maybe it's those wood buttons that give the magic ...
