Any questions are responded to within a couple of minutes, also it seems any visitors of this site are instantly trapped into the world of an audiophile. This forum makes you want empty your pockets out in the quest for supreme sound. I mean the same day i bought my headphones (senns 465) i looked at this site and decided im going to have to buy senns 595's and an amp within 2 months.

This forum is so cool because it's so active. Diverse topics, experts on every topic, friendly tone most of the time. However, one must heed the warning to "watch your wallet!"

What about the fact that you have all become prisoners here of your own device(s)?

Yeah, that's for sure!
It all started with me thinking, "Man, my friends HD515 sure sounds good" so I started looking at the HD555 cause I was going to get a laptop. Then I came here, now there's no way in hell that I can decide wich phones to buy. And I'm also feeling like buying a pair of livewires.
Onle some months ago I would have thought this to be madness. But now it all seems totally sane, or is it me who has gone mad? ^^

Luckily for me I have no cash to spend on phones, but when I have I'll have to hold hard on the money or else they fly away.

It's like I'm already planning to do with my money many years forward ...

Yeah, stay far away if you got a loose wallet, since you can never have a setup good enough, there's always something better (unless you're in the elite that can afford the Orpheus

I find it amusing how we help people on very low budgets decide on the best headphone for the price. In as little as 1 month they come back and want to upgrade because they want better. (Me included)

In the end, you just end up spending more than if you were to make uninformed choices and stay with them (like those who think triports are the best).
