What is a good upgrade to my portable rig?

I am currently using a 7th gen iPod classic< pure silver Lod< Fiio E11< V-Moda Crossfade M-100 with XL pads. I've been using this rig since last January and I definitely want an upgrade. On a budget of less than $300 Should i look into something similar to the E12,C5, or the C5D, or would it be worth getting a DAC/amp that would work with my iPod? Also i am a bass head so a bass boost option would be nice.

i would say amp, something that is going to give you a little more power, something that is going to be more transparent. its really up to you

I would say just get a better amp, the JDS Labs C5 is a great portable amp that is the perfect size to pair with the iPod classic.

C5 is a excellent amp I agree I think its a good match.

Yeah it really seems like the C5 is the perfect upgrade for me. It is more powerful than my E11, boasts a more accurate sound signature, and has a bass boost. Thanks for all the help!

The jds labs c5 bass boost implications are great, its a very transparent amp. And imo definitely more powerful than that of the e11.
