You have a nice fullsized headphone like a D2000 and you want to drive it with a $50 amp?
I say to save up for a home amp for it,to properly drive it.

Try a used electric avenues pa2v2. They will warm/brighten your headphones and provide the power to drive them. They won't really do much else that a really high end amp will.

What was that little $39 tube amp on ebay with perspect covers? Might be worth a shot.

I recently bought the bravo tube amp on ebay for around $50 or so and so far I love it. They have recently raised the price to closer to $90 I believe, but you can still find the Indeed tube amp for closer to $50 and it is supposed to be comparable.

Damn, they've gone up because it now has a Russian tube. Still...I might still pull the trigger on one to see how well I can do on a minimal rig, for fun.

I recommend not getting the Edifier one. I had quite a few problems with it and the seller (it's been a while since I bought it so I'm not really sure if it's the same seller you've got there).

The bravo tube amp that's up on ebay tends to be pretty decent, but it's price has steadily crept up from roughly $30 to $50+ even up into the $80 range. Hopefully you find a good deal though. I recommend DIY if you've got the resources (a bit of time and a soldering iron), at that price. Or maybe just save up for a bit.

Here's a link to a bravo amp, but its about the same price as the indeed buy it now price. They have gone way up in price because Henry, the seller has upgraded the tube and also probably because they have risen in popularity.

Valve Class A Tube Headphone Amplifier pre amp audio - eBay (item 180453206231 end time Feb-04-10 23:30:24 PST)

After doing a quick search on ebay it looks like there are several Indeed tube amps up for auction so you might want to follow the price and bid on them, chances are you would get it cheaper than the buy it now price.
