What headphone amp will sound superior with my headphones?

I have a pair of Sennheiser HD280pros and a pair of Pioneer HDJ-1000s.

I really want to get a Headroom Total Airhead amplifier (the original)-I can get it for $50. Any reasons not to get it and maybe some other options in that price range?

IMHO a PA2 with its boosted bass and forward mids might help the HD280. OR, a cmoy with OP amp picked for bass or misdrange boost.

IMHO the original Total Airhead isn't worth your bother. That original 2AA version is noisy, and delivers poor battery life.
