Yes, I know that were already some threads about cleaning the foamies, but still I would like to start a new one.
What kind of soap or something alike do you use ? I would like to extend the life of the foam sleeves of my Etymotic ER-4P as much as possible, so I wonder if it matters what kind of stuff you best should use to clean them.

i use dishwasher liquid soaps that are effective agaisnt greeses (your earwaxes). clean with it and water, and then just dehydrate the foams with tissue and leave it to dry. the soad help it reexpand to full size.

When I was using the Shure E3 with foamies I called Shure to ask them how best to clean them. They suggested using a q-tip with some rubbing alcohol -- then brushing the foamies with the q-tip thoroughly and then letting them dry. Do not immerse them in the alcohol, just use it sparingly via the q-tip. I tried it and it worked just fine!
