What do you think the outcome of this will be?

My shop teacher has a 2 foot long horn with a threaded end that will fit into the exhaust port of my 15hp horrizontal shaft Tecumseh. The flare is about 8 inches across. Massive ear bleeding SPL? My 11 hp briggs is already so loud with a straight pipe, your ears ring after hearing it for about 1 minute.

I think next you will receive encoded messages from planet Impala with instructions on how to use this device to contact the great Mohine-ruler of all the horrizontal shaft guys.

After that, you're on your on...

Those H-shaft motors sound pretty good uncorked. I think you will get a deep ground-shaking crakle but it won't be super loud.

Ok, it will be louder than the 11hp one I've got, so it can still wake the dead, but just the horn won't make it much louder.

Have you ever seen or heard a NHRA Junior Dragster? those things sound wicked and many use large billet blocks and straight trumpet pipes. They are loud but not really offensive.

I've seen top fuel and funney cars on TV. You can tell they are very loud not only by the fact that the pit crews are wearing protective earphones but by the way they sound. Haven't seen or heard anything dragster in person though.

I'm sat here pondering this and can only ask "Why?"

I'm thinking a baked potato in your pipe might be in your future...

Why? Ask my shop teacher, he made it. He's quite the crazy guy. Does some crazy stuff with engines and flamable liquids.

No description can prepare you for the sound of a Top Fuel dragster.
They will scare you!
It feels like your ears are being stabbed. They are so loud that your eyeballs shake and blur you vision. I've seen Top Fuel cars many times but if I haven't seen them for a couple years the first run still surprises me.

I'm always surprised at how many people don't wear any kind of hearing protection.

I know it was a joke.

Hearing protection is in the works. I want to see a top fueler some day.

If you really want loud and visceral try kneeling on the edge of an aircraft carrier as a jet is getting ready to launch. Full throttle just before they go. Your body shakes from the sound.

The satrun V rocket pwnes a comercial jet. Too bad they aren't used anymore. Or I could go to the shuttle launch pad and get pwned there.
