I'm thinking about them, sometimes I like Winamp's small size, but I like iTunes' interface, just not the fact that after weeks of use it seems to get slower... and slower... and glitchy. So, what should I try?

Foobar 2000 is awesome, especiallu if you have an above-average soundcard. Unofrtunately it's generally horrible to look at and use.

n00b: That is awesome

I personally use iTunes because I use Apple products exclusively. I like it a lot to be honest and don't have any desire to use anything else...

When forced to use a windows system, which is rare, I use foobar2000 or winamp.

Windows Media Player. Yeah ok so it's not the best playback software, but I'm too lazy to hunt down another, and it works.

A few years ago I used to use Sonique, that was a great app back in the day. I upgraded to Sonique 2 when that came out but the developers killed it.

Foobar2000. Customizability out the wazoo, transcoding, freedb lookup, supports nearly every audio format ever made.

Le voilà.

Digital Ash is electro-pop. It's sort of Conor's aborted fetus project.

A question to you guys more experienced with fb2k:

Are there any good/decent pre-configured versions of the player available for download? I've used mine for a while now, but only the default user interface. I don't want to use weeks to learn what seems to be the black art of fb2k tweaking.

Thanks!

EDIT: although unfortunately that site seems to be about manual configurations, editing strings etc. Exactly the thing I'd like to avoid. Any links to pre-made custom installers?

The fun of foobar is figuring it out for yourself. Use winamp 2.x if you want simplicity.
