It looks to me like it is a slightly more complicated CMoy using a single voltage Opamp that (correct me if I'm wrong) uses some external compensation.

I wonder what the effect of those output caps is?

Hello,

Headbanger is an inferior redecessor/brother of Chu Moy amp.

LM386 opamp has a tad poor quality and is a bit hard to keep it from oscillating.

Note that LM386 is NOT pin-compartible with any other opamps. So it is not recommended although you might find it good sounding.

But it does offer a good reading.

Hehe... Glad to hear I'm not the only one. I've just started getting into them. Actually I plan on picking up Walking Wounded from the record store tommorrow.

Anyway, I was looking at the PS on that thing. Is that really all you need to do to charge a battery? I always thought that it required more compensation and buffering.

I wonder if the charging circuit could be modified to work with a regular dual-voltage opamp?
