The pics are alright. This is in the daylight? Your shutter speed should be fast enough then. It could just be blurry because your aperature is big. Try smaller aperature if you can.

What is this ranafraness you mention?

Ah yes the remote shutter release cable.

What are you going to take pics of that you need that and a tripod?

I really dislike it when people upload these gigantic images. The best photographic images are images the viewer can see whole, and dont have to scroll the bars.

Beside that, swords dont make interesting photographs.

Not everyone has a good image editing tool.

That said, he should probably get a image editing program that will allow for resizing and tweaking. Then he can post a smaller image (like 500x300) and still have good detail.

I use mainly Irfanview for all my photography. Irfanview is free too, so just google search it.

I think you need a bigger screen, or just get out of that 640x480 resolution.

Sword? That's not a sword. If that's a sword, that must be a full-grown fresh-fallen Redwood.

To me it looks like the focus was more set on the wood than the knife itself, so the blade of the knife has lost a little clarity..

But the macro image to my eyes is very good

I've love to upload a couple of images of my trip to Prague, but I know that you guys would crucify me, with their resolutions being 2272x1704
