What do you store your IEM (Custom/Universal) in?

I've been thinking about getting one of the below Pelican cases to store my UM2 (soon to be fitted with a custom mold).

Was wondering what do you guys store your IEMs in? Especially those with custom IEMs. I heard they're quite fragile and have to be stored well.

my custom ACS T2i came standard with the smallest of the micro series pelican case in black. looks awesome, and built is excellent. just like the finish of black ipods, it is a fingerprint magnet.

My shure's go in a trusty altoids tin... (pics on request)... that I find much easier to use than their propreitary case.

Ah altoids... Cmoy tins, IEM cases, is there any portable dilemma you CAN'T solve?

I use an empty plastic case from 3M black electrical tape...it's perfect.

Am I the only one who uses my E5cs so often that I just put them down carefully next to my player until I have to use them again? I only put them in their Shure case if they go into a bag with other objects, but normally I'm wearing them.

I find the Shure case so much of a fart and a fiddle that mine never go back in it any more. The tin is just as effective at protecting from damage, and also it takes less than half the time to get them safely stowed.

I realize, I'm a monster:

I just wind my ER6is up around my iPod mini and stuff it in my pocket.
My pockets are usually plenty big (not gangsta-big), and I just haven't got the time to fiddle with bags and cases.

Mine get coiled around the ipod and dropped into the waterfield bag. (familarity breeds contempt)

same here... I just wrap mine around the ipod.... no need to put them on a pedestal...

I store my E4c with the case provided. At first, it takes a bit of time to get used to putting them in properly. However, after couple of months, I can do it less than 30 seconds. (It's still a long time, but it keeps the phones protected)

I guess I will take this opportunity to list my earphone cases (pics available upon request)

I use the Shure e4c (white) earphones
the cases:

-Ultimate ears metal case
-Ultimate ears soft leather case
-at least two different shure round nylon cases
-pouch style etymotic case
-zipper (much better style) style etymotic case--one of my faves
-shure microphone bag--usually used for eartips...ya, I have alot of them
-apple in ears plastic case
-pocket
-round zipper westone (i think) case--also a fave
-in one of the pockets of my Waterfield ipod gear bag (these things ROCK)


There, I think that covers it.
