What do you guys think of the Sennheiser PC 150, PC 160, and PC 165?

PC150/160 would be a pretty good choice. But I would recommend stretching your budget to an HD580 and a desk mic. (Its scientifically proven to make you 25% better!

Hey, when did the PC160s come out?

Anyways, I have hte PC150 and I love them. Don't be fooled though, thye don't fully cover your ears. they mostly rest on them. The mic is super clear! I would definately recommend them for a gamer. I'd get the PC150s over the 160s because the 150s are closed and you don't want to hear other noise coming in when you're gaming (ESPECIALLY at LANs). The PC150s totally blow away the Plantronics Audio .90s (I had these before I got the 150s.) You can grab a pair of PC150s at www.ecost.com for $35. At least thats how much I got mine for about 2 weeks after they came out.

BTW wats the diff between teh 160SK and the 160 besides the logo on the headband and the blue covers?

So diff between the 150's and 160s are:

-160 has open design
-160 freq resp is 15-23k hz/ 150 is 18-22k hz
-160 impendence is 16Ohms/ 150 is 32Ohms
-160 seems to have slightly larger cups, and they seem to be covered with a little nicer material.

I'd rather go with a clip-on mic and the existing HD590 since the latter will be far superior to the headsets suggested in terms of sound, and one would probably regret a downgrade to one of these when listening to music.

No way are the PC150 closed. I can hear everything going on around me unless I turn the sound up. They may be technically closed, but they do not block any sound. That being said, they are still very nice. Very rugged, I have drop mine off the table about every other day for the past year and a half.
