That's an ideal binaural (exactaural?) recordings, but generally binaural recordings are done with dummy heads and near coincidental microphone setups approximating human HRTF such as Jecklin Disk.For binaural playback, you need a binaural recording that corresponds with your particular HRTF. One size of HRTF doesn't fit all. So making your own recordings to your own measurements is a good idea.
