I'm getting the K1000 in the next couple of weeks, so the only headphones I'm still interested in eventually owning are the SR-Omega and R10. Not sure I'll ever get either of them due to their replacement part situations, though. I guess I'm a little intrigued by the HE5 and JH13.
Most likely Stax Lambda and definitely a mid-range DAC. I am curious about the HE-5 but I can't really afford it along with what I want. Maybe that and the HD 800 if I win the lottery.
probably something higher up on the Grado line. I like the 325, but I wouldn't mind going even higher if I catch a deal on the forums, but that'll have to wait for now.
On the headphone front, I have HE-5s coming in so.. really, at this point, all I'd be looking forward to is the T1. But that's an iffy proposition without any time to spend with it yet. If anything, 2010 is going to be a year that I cut back on some of the equipment to really decide what I like most, and to improve from that end (meaning amplifier synergy, mostly). So look out for some of the equipment I have in the For Sale section in 2010
None as of right now, but am curious to see what AKG have up their sleeve for CES 2010.
If anything comparable to the K1000 then I may indeed be all in...
My dad's going to California in January so I'm going to get him to buy me some JVC HA-M750s while he's over there. I want to buy an upgrade to my ER6s too, thinking either ER-4Ps or RE0s ... I bought my mum some RE0s for Christmas so I'll see how they grab me
Etymotic are releasing a slightly updated Hf2s at CES, the Hf3, so I'm hoping they'll have maybe another new model line there that's a real upgrade.
I will not be buying any cans in 2010, or ever. My headphone journey has led to the conclusion that Bose Triports sound as good as anything else to me, and are way more comfortable. I have now sold all of my other phones except the GMP-8.300Ds, and I am posting those today.
The Bose are everything I need (especially since the vastly more expensive HD650s failed to outperform them.)
In short, my journey is over. It has been fun, though (if expensive.)
