What cable for re-cabling a headphone? (this case: my K81)

Allright! Got a mail from the german akg technical service partner and they explained how to open the cups for recabling. So easy i could have it on myself..

You just have to remove the earpads, 3 screws will show up and you can unscrew them to open the cup and voila!

Now i need some suggestions what cable to use for replacing the stock one.

Something bigger but still portable enough and should be around 1,2-1,5m long.

Hmm... I'd try some good-quality but thin coax. Twisted pair cabling would be less good, it just doesn't work with unbalanced connections and would make a fairly decent antenna to catch some RFI and possibly disturb the amp.
